Total RNA af høj kvalitet er fremstillet af cellekroppe af mus rygmarvsmotor neuroner ved laserfangst microdissection efter farvning rygmarv sektioner med Azure B i 70% ethanol. Tilstrækkelig RNA (~ 40-60 ng) er genvundet fra 3.000-4.000 motoriske neuroner til at tillade downstream RNA-analyse af RNA-seq og qRT-PCR.
