Greg Bashford Biomedical Engineering University of Nebraska Biography Publications Institution JoVE Articles Greg Bashford Greg Bashford received a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Nebraska and a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Duke University. After graduation, he worked in industry R&D positions including as an Image Analysis Engineer at Acuson Corporation (Mountain View, CA); Systems Engineer at GE Medical Systems (Milwaukee, WI); and Senior Scientist at LI-COR Biosciences (Lincoln, NE). In 2001, he joined the faculty of the Biological Systems Engineering Department at the University of Nebraska. He currently serves as Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Chair of the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program. His research interests include methods and applications of blood flow measurement, especially transcranial Doppler for neurological protection, and musculoskeletal health assessment using ultrasound.
